Children’s Home Bhogpur
India

Redeemer supports three children who live at the Children’s Home Bhogpur. The mission of the home is "to see underprivileged children, especially from leprosy-affected communities, cared for, educated and morally nurtured to become well adjusted in today’s world as living witnesses of our Lord Jesus Christ." The home is a safe and healthy environment with a dedicated staff. The children’s needs are met, they are given an education and opportunity for social and spiritual development.

Phil & Amina Fiol are serving with Mission to the World (MTW)
Email: PhilandAmina@swissmail.org

During the Sunday service at Valley Bible Fellowship in India, a joyful noise can be heard. The Fiols thank the Lord for the gift of music that attracts young people with beautiful voices and a love for the guitar. The young people are becoming members of VBF and bringing friends to church. Amina spends her days caring of her family, home, cooking for large crowds, learning to drive a scooter and hosting interns. Phil teaches village pastors and a homiletics course. They have weekly Bible studies that are growing and branching off into new studies as VBF continues to grow.

Alan & Chinglien Fiol are in Taiwan with Mission to the World (MTW)
Email: alanfiol@hotmail.com

Christ’s College has been ministering to Taiwanese students for 50 years. The Fiols are praying, despite the road blocks, that Christ’s College will be registered by the Taiwan Ministry of Education as a Christian liberal arts college. They are also praying and working to reach unbelieving students and help nurture new believers. While their job is with the college, the Fiol’s are also reaching out to friends in their community. The Fiols are thankful for the growth of their support team as they are continually working to expand.

AFRICA

Bruce & Pam Sinclair are in Uganda with Mission to the World (MTW)
Website: http://www.sinclairuganda.com/, and http://wtcwtsuganda.org
Email: bpsinclair@gmail.com

The Sinclairs believe the Kingdom of God is advancing in their little corner of Africa. Bruce is the director for Mission to the World in Uganda. He also serves as the Dean of the only reformed seminary there. He focuses on church planting for his students, teaches at a different church almost every Sunday, and teaches Bible education courses to many untrained pastors. Pam teaches Speech and Communication at a college. She also teaches a huge Sunday school class of orphans and poor children.

Banda Widows Ministry
Uganda

A European missionary visited a Bible Study that Jeninah, a Ugandan woman, had started with her late husband and taught the women to make necklaces, earrings and other jewelry using paper from catalogs and magazines. The income allowed them to leave terrible, low paying jobs at a stone quarry. At the same time, Redeemer sent a team to Uganda who visited this Bible Study. They were moved to help market the beads here in the US.Today, the Bible Study has grown to over 160 women, and Redeemer has raised more than $10,000 in donations from these handmade beads. All proceeds go back to the Banda slum to empower these women to rise out of poverty with the help of the gospel.

Grace and Jeninah
Uganda

During a missions trip to Uganda, Redeemer members met Grace and Jeninah. Both women were married to pastors in Uganda, and sadly, both lost their husbands. They have continued their work in ministry, but have faced financial hardship. Pastors and ministers make little money, have no health care plans or life insurance policies. Tuition for children is a great financial challenge. After hearing these women’s stories, Redeemer offered assistance, and for the past two years has helped with tuition expenses for Grace and Jeninah.

EUROPE

They returned to Sweden over ten years ago and began a church planting outreach ministry and established the first Presbyterian Church in Sweden. Their church planting continues to grow, and they are helping to see the European Presbyterian denomination spread.

David & Sherry Bohn —President of Entrust in Colorado
Email: dbohn@entrust4.org or sbohn@entrust4.org

Over 30 years ago, a prayer group challenged David and Sherry to change the world. Several years later, they arrived in Vienna, Austria, and their work with missions began. With a desire to bring biblical training to pastors behind the Iron Curtain, David was part of the birth of Biblical Education by Extension International (BEEI), which is now known as Entrust. The name Entrust reflects the mission of training faithful leaders who will been trusted with the message and be able to train others also (2 Timothy 2:2). Entrust has spread and trained thousands of church leaders all over the world, and the curriculum, budget and staff has grown tremendously. David and Sherry have spent time serving in the United States, Austria, Romania, Korea, China and Europe. David has served as President of BEEI/Entrust and is now transitioning out of that position. Sherry has worked with women’s ministries, and is still involved with copyright issues, curriculum development, women’s and faciliator training and mission support roles with Entrust.

CAMPUS MINISTRY

Kurt and Morgan Brewer
Email: Kurt.Brewer@uscm.org
http://kurtandmorgan.wordpress.com/

Kurt and Morgan spend their days meeting and getting to know the students on CofC’s campus. The main goals of Campus Crusade is to win students to Christ, build them in their faith, and send them out to reach others. If you look around at Redeemer, you’ll see students from Campus Crusade attending worship, evangelism training classes, discipleship appointments, and weekly Bible studies. The Brewers have started specific ministries to reach athletes, Greeks, Internationals, ethnic students and hopefully many more! For new believers, Campus Crusade helps teach them to read their Bible and pray, introduces them to fellowship with believers and trains them to share their faith. During the summer months, Campus Crusade offers students an opportunity to share the gospel overseas, and afterwards some students commit to mission work for years to come.

Danny & Aspa Clark - with Reformed University Fellowship
Email: dclark@ruf.org
Website: http://thecharlestonclarks.blogspot.com/

Danny and Aspa are both from Virginia and met during their college years at James Madison University. They have returned to a campus again, but this time as RUF staff at the College of Charleston. RUF offers a Large Group Study, a Freshman Community Group, an Upperclassman Guy’s Small Group and an Upperclassman Girl’s Small Group. The Clarks have also worked to establish a worship team and a social team to provide opportunities for fellowship among the students and community. RUF joined the CofC administration with the Cougarpalooza Clean-up Crew, which cleans the campus after a concert and party. RUF also cooks a meal and spends an evening with Charleston’s homeless at the Sunday Night Soup Kitchen. From movies to roller skating, RUF offers a wide range of fellowship outings. They are currently striving to have a more corporate worship, build student leaders, welcome and intrigue non-Christians, and grow their students in understanding, love and commitment to the local church.
