Our Christian Education classes begin at 9:15 AM in the Education Building. We offer classes for K4 through adults and a nursery for infants and toddlers.

Currently Studying: Ezekiel

Our adult Christian Education class has been in an eighteen-month examination of The Church. We have examined the Church’s role in government, her duties to other churches, her right and wrong interaction with surrounding cultures, her purity in conduct and doctrine, and her evangelism. In our current study of Ezekiel we hope to see how RPC is to be faithful, guided, inspired, and convicted to repent by the words of God given to His people through a powerful prophet.

Ezekiel was called to shout some difficult and demanding things of God’s people. Great weight and responsibility was put with these words. And Ezekiel’s life depended on him saying them. He was told to go to an insolent, immature, rebellious people, who defiled themselves and God’s dwelling place, and who broke faith with the God who had loved them and delivered them time and again.

Ezekiel was to give to them a warning that should, if we choose to ignore it like the ancient Israelites, worry us to paranoia that God will, at any moment, call us to account for our own insolence. But we can be thankful that the Israelites were given the same offer of Grace that extends to us; simple, honest confession and repentance brings abundance and power from our merciful God. For your personal study, you could consider Ezekiel in three sections; Part 1 consists of chapters 1-24, The Judgment of Israel. In Part 2 we will read chapters 25-32 as God judges neighboring nations. And Part 3 sees God ultimately restoring His people in chapters 33-48.

July 18: Ezekiel 29-32 Judgment All Around (Israel's ally, Egypt, will be judged as well)
July 25: Ezekiel 33 The Watchman Renewed (A strengthened Ezekiel is again called to duty)
